REVIEW: Hada Labo's Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Light Lotion

Oh boy, it has been almost a month since I last blogged! Eeps. School has been really hectic and I didn't want to blog half-heartedly (Thank goodness for Juliet who proofread my last few entries! My grammatical mistakes were... Extremely embarrassing.). Hence, the absence. Anyway, I'm down to my final 2 assignments (Hurray!) so get ready for an influx of entries!

(Think: Hectic school schedule means a million and one assignments, presentations and tests, which translate to a gigantic amount of stress and that can only lead to one thing... SHOPPING! Heh. *guilt-ridden*)

Anyway, here's a review of the latest Hada Labo product, the Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Light Lotion. Just like the original version (Read the review here.), this one contains both Super Hyaluronic Acid and Nano Hyaluronic Acid ingredients. The former possesses excellent moisture retention capacity and the latter comes in small molecules of weight 15-25 nanometre.

The duo penetrates deep into our skin, hydrating it intensely and toning its texture. This leaves us with skin that is soft and supple. The light version is meant for oily or combination skin, or for those who prefer a lighter texture.

Hada Labo users who found the original version too thick will definitely find love in this light version. It flows like water and sinks into the skin a lot faster (Even faster than the original version in nano formula!). I apply it after cleansing my face, with patting motions.

Here's how my skin looks like after using it for about two weeks! Despite the late nights and (severe) lack of sleep, my skin didn't go all dry and scaly on me like it usually would. I really like how light this version is because I spend less time patting the lotion in and my skin feels a lot more comfortable. The slight 'oiliness' I got from the original version is pretty much non-existent in this one. And this means that my makeup goes on a lot smoother too. (:

The Hada Labo Super Hyaluronic Acid Hydrating Light Lotion (170ml) is available at Watsons, NTUC, Guardian, Sasa, BHG and Unity at $22.90.

LOOKBOOK: Lollyrouge's Rainbow Rubik

Lollyrouge top
-

School has been crazily hectic lately. Coupled with some personal issues and the fact that I'm missing out on life (Events, gym sessions, meetups with friends, ALL my sitcoms...) bum me out really much. But we all know that 'hardship' will and can only make you stronger. Have I mentioned that I'm handling more assignments now than the whole of my compulsory education life?

These days I try to drown myself in colours to brighten things up a little. I wear a lot of solid colours (Giordano recently went through a revamp or something. They have all these great basics that aren't too low-cut and fit to a T. Giordano, I love you.). So anyway, when I saw this top on Lollyrouge, I thought it was exactly what I need to break away from solids every now and then. Repetition becomes monotony, no?

I really like how the top cuts in at the shoulder areas so that it exudes some femininity and sophistication. The top is a little billowy so it will look better when tucked in or paired with skinny pants. When I plan my clothes, I always go for contrast. Top dark-coloured, bottom light-coloured. Top rockin' with spikes, bottom all lacey and dainty. And so on.

Happy mid-week, people (:
