The florist can customize an arrangement for you but you can personalize a bouquet for the person you love. To personalize an arrangement, all you need to do is to buy fresh cut flowers from the shop and design the bouquet on your own. Large Hand Bouquets
Large bouquets are also available at the florist’s shop. One can have from 50 stems to 100 and more stems of flowers in one bouquet. A Revolution among Florists – A Better Florist

It's not that often that I can find a florist that not only meets, but also exceeds my expectations. I love a good flower bouquet, and some of my fondest memories involve stunning flowers. I’ve seen my fair share of florists in Singapore, and I’ve ordered from many as well. However, I was most impressed by A Better Florist. What makes them the best florist in Singapore apart from the greatest flower delivery Singapore has ever seen, are their skills and the ability to create beautiful and breathtaking blooms. Their bouquets and arrangements resemble a flower masterpiece, because they invest a lot of time and attention into every single bouquet. They pay attention to every detail, and make sure that each bouquet sends out the right message.

One of the greatest perk, especially for all that are tech savvy and the millennials, is their Online flower delivery Singapore is yet to experience in full. You don't even have to leave your home to take advantage of their fast delivery. Just a few clicks and you can place your order, without having to run around Singapore.

I've also found that they have a Dubai flower delivery and a Hong Kong flower delivery. If you read a little bit more, you'll see that they are known online through reviews and articles as the as the best florist in Hong Kong and the best florist in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. In fact, they are known to be the best flower delivery in Hong Kong.

WWW: Shopping with Ezbuy

I have known about Ezbuy for a long time now, but it was only late last year when I started doing a lot of my online shopping on this platform. And I have been very, very happy. ٩(^‿^)۶ Hahaha. There are many things we want that can be bought for a lot cheaper on Taobao but it isn't exactly an easy task navigating the website because it's all in Mandarin (Sorry 老师!). While I can still search for the things I want (Thank goodness!) and get a brief idea of what the reviews are saying, going through the buying process would be a whole different (horror) story.

Enter Ezbuy, or otherwise known as hassle-free Taobao shopping. \(^-^)/ All you need to do is to add your items to your Ezbuy cart, check out, and Ezbuy will do the rest for you. Yes, including communicating with the Taobao sellers in Mandarin. How awesome is that! And it doesn't just end here. This service provided by Ezbuy comes with inspection to ensure that your items are correctly bought and not defective, and aftersales support.

For those who are concerned about hidden shipping fees, well, fret not! All costs, including shipping fees, are reflected on the Ezbuy checkout page. So you get to decide if you're comfortable with the shipping fees before purchasing. Absolutely no unwanted surprises when your items arrive! :D

Here's a quick tutorial on how to shop on Ezbuy:

See the orange search box at the top right-hand corner? You can search for a particular category of items or just copy off the link from Taobao! Alternatively, check out Ezbuy's specially curated menu of the latest trends.

Psst, Ezbuy just launched their own Korea Marketplace! Get all your K-beauty needs there!

Here's a tip: If you need more info about you item options, just place your cursor on top of the images. A little text box will appear!

Right at the bottom bar is where you will see the total shipping fees for all the items you have selected.

When your items have arrived, Ezbuy has 4 different ways to get them to you; neighbourhood collection, MRT collection, warehouse collection and home delivery. It is so convenient!

Once you have placed your order, you can check the status of it under 'My Account > My Order'.

Just for the month of April, all Ezbuy shoppers will enjoy all these value-added services. Do also check out Ezbuy Prime service where you can enjoy unlimited shipping at only $2.99. Also, just for you, dear readers, sign up for an account now and get a complimentary SGD10 shopping voucher by using this link https://bit.ly/lovecharlene65. No minimum spending is required to redeem it. :D

Alrighty, I hope this post has been useful for you. ◡̈ Stay tuned for the next one where I'll show you my recent loot!

WWW: Christmas loving for Every Friend

And we are just 3 weeks away from my favourite holiday of the year. It isn't just 25th that I'm looking forward to; I also enjoy the entire build-up to this holiday. The intricate Christmas decorations that adorn the malls, the fairy lights that dress the trees, the joyful songs that fill the air… And not forgetting, the thought and care that go into preparing gifts for our loved ones.

But the weather has been erratic, there are crowds to beat, there's year-end closing to deal with and some of us just really don't want to leave the comfort of our homes. Thankfully we have the internet and hence, online shopping (#bestthingtobeinventedever).

Here are some Christmas gift ideas for 5 friends which you probably have:

  1. For the beauty guru:

Smashbox Click You're It Holiday Eye Palette, $26.00

    Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System, $35.90

There's no such thing as 'too much makeup'. For the friend who loves dolling up, a new eyeshadow palette is always welcomed, especially one from Smashbox. The Smashbox Click You're It Holiday Eye Palette, $26.00 includes 15 buttery soft and fine-textured eyeshadows and 5 creamy eyeliners. Novice makeup artists will definitely appreciate the accompanying 3 tutorial cards that teach you how to create 6 different and easy looks.

With all the coming late-night partying and alcohol, it will be wise to start caring for the skin a little more now. The Neutrogena Microdermabrasion System, $35.90 combines exfoliating crystals and microvibrations to give you firmer, younger-looking and more refined skin, just like a newborn baby's!

  2. For the book lover:

    Moby Dick (5x7") Journal, $35.90

OOP Library Card Denim Tote, $39.90

For the friend who loves books more than anything else, it will be perfect to get her a journal for her to pen down all her favourite phrases and sentences. The Moby Dick (5x7") Journal, $35.90 is book-cloth wrapped and has 300 'micro-text' lined pages for all her scribbling and doodlings. Pair it with the fitting OOP Library Card Denim Tote, $39.90 so that she can easily carry her books wherever she goes.

  3. For the Instagrammer:

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Black, $79.80

Gold Instax Mini Album for Instax Mini Films, $7.50

You can always find a friend who Instagram-s everything. She takes several shots to get the perfect one and then, spends the next couple of minutes finding the perfect filter. But some memories are meant to be tangible and to come with all their beautiful flaws. The Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Black, $79.80 allows you to capture memories in pocket-sized cards which you can scribble on, create a photo collage on your bedroom wall or house in the pretty Gold Instax Mini Album for Instax Mini Films, $7.50. Flip through it when you're 60 and have a good laugh at all the silly but memorable moments.

  4. For the fashionista:

Double Straps Plain Playsuit in Black, $31.90

    YSL Wristlet – Pink, $12.90

Then there's the friend who is always well-dressed for every event and ahead of fashion trends. Well, this Christmas, get her the Double Straps Plain Playsuit in Black, $31.90 to replace her favourite LBD. It’s a little playful, very classy and affirms her fashionista status. The YSL Wristlet – Pink, $12.90 will make sure that she further stands out from the crowd.

  5. For the Gordon Ramsey wannabe:

    Morries 3-in-1 Breakfast Maker MS-301SBM, $49.90

Stylux Salad Maker, Food Processor LH-FP157, $47.90

Finally, we have the friend who watches Masterchef 24/7 and wants to marry Gordon Ramsey. The Morries 3-in-1 Breakfast Maker MS-301SBM, $49.90 allows her to start the day with a hearty, Ramsey-approved breakfast. It comes with a 5L electronic over toaster (For crisp slices of bread.), a coffee maker (Arabica beans only please.) and a Teflon coated frying plate (Bacon is compulsory.).

For lunch and dinner, she will find the Stylux Salad Maker, Food Processor LH-FP157, $47.90 very handy. It's a multi-purpose chopper with 5 stainless steel blades that can easily grates, shreds and slices just about anything; fruits, vegetables, cheeses, chocolates, nuts etc. Most importantly, it is easy to clean.

Now, for the fun part (After all, giving is better than receiving! :D)! Online shopping websites are a dime a dozen. What makes one stand out is the variety of items and the customer service. So here's introducing Lazada. Lazada is Southeast Asia's biggest online shopping mall, with operations in Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam and very recently, our sunny little Singapore!

Purchasing from Lazada is as easy as ABC! Let me take you through the process as I order a watch for the brother:

  • Step 1: After registering an account, browse through Lazada for the perfect gifts. Lazada is stocked with an unimaginable variety of items; from beauty to gadgets to home décor, you name it, they have it!

  • Step 2: Once you have decided on your item, click on 'Buy Now'. This puts your item in your shopping cart!

  • Step 3: When you are done shopping (Probably took a while, didn't it? Heh.), click on 'Proceed to Checkout' and start filling in your details.

  • Step 4: Select your payment method and click on 'Place Your Order'!

And you are done! :DDD The delivery can take between 2-4 business days for local sellers or 5-14 business days for overseas sellers. While waiting, you can check the status of your order here!

Alrighty, I hope this post has been helpful for you. Before I end, here's a little Christmas something from me to you! Happy shopping! :D

WWW: ZALORA.sg

Right before I left for my Sydney trip, I had a breakfast meeting with Zalora girls, Melissa and Joyce. So... This entry is way overdue. Eeps! :\ Thanks for being so patient, Melissa and Joyce!

Though it has been a pretty long while back, I still remember the meeting pretty vividly because Melissa and Joyce were just so cheery, bright and literally bursting with energy (Apparently, they were actually really tired. I so could NOT tell.)! The meeting really set a happy tone for the rest of the day. (:

Melissa and Joyce were really excited to share about Zalora with me. Zalora is basically all that we will ever need for our online shopping on our sunny little island! It is a one-stop portal for fashion and footwear, for the ladies, the gentlemen and the babies! The online retailer seeks to bring us 'a Singaporean lens on global trends' by engaging both local and international brands/ designers.

In the realm of cosmetics, one of the brands that Zalora has brought in is Aussie-born Gorgeous Cosmetics. Founded by David McConnell, this brand 'flourished out of passion, loyalty and the pursuit for elite quality'. McConnell started out in the hair and makeup industry and distinguished himself very quickly and early by winning several awards at Australian Industry Award events.

Before the age of twenty, he had already opened his first boutique in Toorak, one of Melbourne's more prestigious suburbs. He strives to deliver quality of the highest standards to his many loyal clients and to empower women with them so that we can achieve glamour everyday.

Zalora has brought in quite an extensive range of the Gorgeous Cosmetics collection! Pictured above are the Sheer Brilliance Liquid Foundation and Base Perfect Liquid Foundation.

Sheer Brilliance Liquid Foundation is described as 'a velvety soft foundation' that provides a sheer and natural coverage. Lightweight and infused with the goodness of Vitamins A and E, this liquid foundation glides seamlessly across skin to give you a complexion that is fresh and radiant. It is suitable for all skin types.

Base Perfect Liquid Foundation is a silky foundation that is both oil-free and long lasting. Described as a 'smooth emulsion', it 'blends effortlessly onto the skin' to give a flawless complexion. It contains 'special light diffusing pigments to amplify the light, giving skin the appearance of a healthy luminosity'. This also contains Vitamins A and E to soothe and condition the skin. It is suitable for all skin types.

Gorgeous Cosmetics also has a huge selection of Lipstick shades and Zalora offers the more popular ones. The Lipsticks are 'fine in texture and feel luxuriously soft and light-weight on lips'. Highly-pigmented and moisturizing (They are enriched with emollients!), the colours are here to stay!

Well, of course, that is until you clean them off!

And this! This is THE Blue Eyes 4 Pan Palette and isn't it just SO COMPLETELY GORGEOUS!!! Well, I haven't exactly got blue eyes but these colours seem to fit dark brown eyes just fine! I am in love with the top left corner peachy shade! And the golden brown, the chocolate brown and the deep sparkly midnight shade... (Eyes are currently the size of Anime character's.)

Sophia did a gorgeous look with this palette and you can view it here.

Here are the swatches! Also featured above are the iLine Liquid Eyeliner Pen and the Colour Pro Blush.

Before I left, Melissa and Joyce also gave me my very own Zalora bag! Sleek, black and topped with a bow... Yep, I am keeping the bag. :D

Here are the goodies! To the right, sits The Aromatherapy Co.'s Orange & Jasmine Hand & Nail Cream. This cream is a delicious concoction of organic Orange and Jasmine essential oils, Manuka Honey and Vitamin E. Besides wrapping your hands and nails in a blanket of nourishment, this also helps to improve poor circulation!

My 50ml tube has been a very handy dandy 'going out' buddy! Each time my hands feel dry (And they do so pretty often.), I whip this out and apply a pea-sized amount. This sinks into the skin really easily and smells heavenly! The light citrus-y scent is especially invigorating and brightens my day in an instant!

Here, we have Beauty So Clean's Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist and Gorgeous Cosmetics' iLINE Liquid Eyeliner Pen!

Beauty So Clean is the world's 1st cosmetic sanitizer. It comprises of 'a 3-piece cleaning system to clean, rejuvenate and remove bacteria from your makeup without altering the colours or drying it out'!

Initially, I thought this was a brush cleanser! But nooo!!! This actually disinfects your makeup! The first piece of the system is the Cosmetic Sanitizer Mist. Give a spray of this mist on your powder-based products and consider them sanitized and germ-free in just 10 seconds! The second piece is the Cosmetic Sanitizer Wipes. Use this on your lip glosses, lipsticks, mascaras etc. and they will be free from debris like dust, lint and food particles! The final piece of the system is, but of course, the Conditioning Brush Cleanser. Whether the bristles are natural or synthetic, this cleanser will dissolve makeup quickly whilst conditioning them at the same time. (:

Last but not least, Black Chicken Remedies! Haha. A really cute name (Just like Sunbathing Muffins! Heh!) and I do love to black chicken soup (Okay, Char! Stop thinking about food!). Anyway, legend has it that the Black Chicken is an ancient crone, known for her healing powers. And she would only heal those with good hearts. You can read the story here. And it's really cute that there is this disclaimer on Black Chicken Remedies' website: Black Chicken is the stuff of legend, but there's no myth in the remedies afforded by practical and specific application of 100% essential oils.

Above is Black Chicken Remedies's Love Your Body Oil. This 'puts back into your skin what life has taken out'! Sounds pretty good and it gets even better for an essential oil lover like me! This body oil is a blend of 12 remedial oils (Avocado oil, Rosehip oil, Hazelnut oil, Coconut oil, Sandalwood essential oil, Geranium Bourbo essential oil, Patchouli essential oil, Lavender essential oil, Carrot essential oil, Ylang Ylang essential oil, Nutmeg essential oil and Vitamin E oil.) to provide deep, lasting hydration and calm the mind. :D 100% natural, this oil also helps to prevent the signs of ageing!

And very recently, British bath and beauty label, Anatomicals, loved by Victoria Beckham and Joss Stone, joined Zalora. Developed by two brothers, Paul and Gary Marshall, this 'edgy line approaches bath and beauty with a very much British sense of humour, giving Anatomicals the clever attitude that promises to jazz up every skincare regimen'. The products have incredibly cute names like 'The Showering Inferno' and 'Sud the Lot of You'. Haha. Head on over here to view the products which Zalora has brought in!

Whoo boy! This has been a mighty long entry! I'm going to take a break now but do check out Zalora here! There's free shipping island wide AND you have the option of paying cash on delivery! Huge YAY's for those who don't prefer online transactions! :DDD

WWW: Blogs which chase the gloom away!

I'm feeling a little sore about school so I decided to pull out my favourite blogs to read. Here are my top 3 favourites!

I chanced upon Into The Gloss when I was searching for some reviews and it quickly became one of my much-visited bookmarks. Emily Weiss is the lady behind the awesome photography and well-written articles. Delving into makeup bags and loos, you get to uncover trade secrets of famous figures in the beauty and fashion industry! She also introduces you the latest trend in beauty, makeup and fashion. I love every single inch of this website!

Jess is probably the coolest person on the planet! Her blog, Jess Loves Fred (Fred, short for Frederick Hans Gutenburg, is the name of her camera.), is peppered with tongue-in-cheek statements, which are filled with candor. Her style is to die for and she teaches that one need not be rich to look stylish. Most of her clothes are thrifted. I have dug into archives and have quite possibly read every entry that she has penned. She is THAT awesome.

Last, but definitely not the least, K is for KANI. I found this gem quite recently via the sister. Kani looks like a doll and rocks bangs harder than anyone else. Her style is bold but she always manages to keep it girlie, which I like a lot. Her photos exudes an old-school charm, giving her blog a whimsical and vintage feel. I love!

And golly! I do feel tons happier already! :DDD I'm going to end the night with 'Breakfast at Tiffany's'. (:

I hope you're having a fabulous Friday!

xoxo,
Charlene J. Lee

WWW: PreVView - The war has begun!

Last month, I blogged about PreVView. It's an online job portal where people create a lasting impression on potential employers by uploading videos of themselves! Besides the possibility of getting employed, there are also prizes to be won!

Now it's time for us to vote for our favourite visumés! Click here to view the videos and start voting!

WWW: PreVView

I was flipping through 8 Days when I came to the 'Shirtless Guy of the Week' section. I swear I usually skip this brainless section but what got my attention (No, no! It isn't what you think!) was that the guy was Korean and he actually, well, looked like a guy!!! (All those Korean boy band boys look like girls to me, with their snow-like skin, slender nose, non-existent waist... Sigh. I would be in a state of depression if I lived in Korea.) Anyway, I read the article and realized that this guy was discovered on PreVView!

PreVView is Asia's first interactive video job portal. Started on March 9th this year, it aims to break the barrier between employers and jobseekers. No longer will the former be looking at the passport-sized you with the awkward, stiff smile. Instead, employers get to see the real you in your visumés (Video résumés)!

Unlike other job portals, where you are asked to fill in a never-ending list of details, you are given the platform to stand out from the crowd, not just on paper, but in a more insightful and expressive manner on video! In this way, your first impression depends on you; the way you speak, the manner in which you present yourself, your confidence and so on. Your first impression is no longer defined by the papers you achieved.

Right this minute, a Visumé War is waging!

"We call upon everyone from the age of 18-35* to step into the professional battle field, in a quest to differentiate yourselves – it's talent vs talent, Visumé vs Visumé!"

Julian Tay's video is probably the most creative out of all the videos that I have seen! Unlike quite a few who just basically sat in front of the camera and talked, he used awesome animation and graphics! Also, his video is 'flawless' in the sense that you know he really put in the effort to prepare for it (Or maybe he is just that great...). There isn't any fumbling of words, lines are delivered with confidence... He certainly stands out from the rest!

WWW: Stylemyself

I'm not sure about you but boy! Do I love shopping!!! (Okay, I'm betting that you do too!) But as the cliché goes, 'Too many things to do, so little time.'. Well, in this case, it's 'too many shops'. Heh.

And to traipse under the increasingly erratic weather, deal with the crazily crowded public transport, which have you breathing in everyone else's carbon dioxide... And then, to end up with a shopping trip that yields NO LOOT!!! Nuh uh. It totally kills shopping! *shudders* (It is very good for your pocket though...) Isn't it better to be able to 'shop' in the comforts of your own home? Think: Air-con blasting, hugging your bolster (Okay, maybe this is just me.), hot chocolate by your laptop... Ahhh! Sweet!

But then what? We spend hours trawling on ONE website and then, move on to another? Whatever is gonna happen to our truckload of work? Isn't there like an online shopping centre? You know, like we can 'walk past the shops, look at what's on display and if we like it, we walk in'?

Well, fab news for us! There is! And here's introducing *drum rolls*...

Stylemyself is described as an 'one-stop fashion e-catalogue'. Bascially, it's an online shopping mall, CATEGORIZED.

The shops are organized according to the types of products they provide. Looking for a white tee? Just go to 'Clothing', 'Basic Tops'. This cuts down our time shopping, we don't get distracted by things which we weren't thinking about in the first place (But if you want to be distracted, by all means. :D ) Many a times, I find myself buying everything under the sun EXCEPT for the one thing that I set out to buy initially.

The best thing to note about Stylemyself? It shows you all the latest collections! You're definitely going to be keeping up with the latest trends (Leopard prints are 'in' now, no?)!

Also, Stylemyself like many others have jumped on the bandwagon, creating their own Facebook page AND iPhone application!

And is the iPhone application useful! Just like the website, it shows you all the latest products, which stores to get them from and where the stores are located at. There is also an additional feature; You can mark your favourite products and when you are near them, you will be notified!!! How cool is that?!?

And here's presenting some of my picks!

I know it's all black! But I'm currently into black now (Yes, a pathetic retort in self-defence...)! I'm totally loving those boots!

Do note that Stylemyself is an online mall, so it doesn't just have female clothings! There are stuff for the men and kids!!! So rope in your other half, brother and son too!

And maybe they will sponsor your loot. XD

(Psst! There is also a beauty section! Awesome much? :D )

The picture beside the Facebook one is an iPhone. Just in case you can't tell what it is. Heh!

Inspiration for doodles is from google.
