I was introduced to Elite Models at the Watsons' Spring Colour Report 2013 event and the brand quickly got onto my 'to try' list. Besides having a massive library of makeup, this brand is also what Elite's models wear when they sashay down the runway! A good reason for us to take a deeper look into it, no?
Two weeks ago, Michelle from Suzanni Beaute sent me a couple of items to try (Thanks Michelle!) and the French Kiss in French Romance 04 is one of them!
French Kiss is a range of 9 lipsticks that promises to go on smoothly, just like a lip balm. It comes formulated with an antioxidant network of Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Vitamin E and Q10 to protect your lips throughout the day. For those who like a sexy pout, you will be glad to know that the lipsticks also come equipped with a glamorous watery shine.
French Romance 04 is a gorgeous deep carmine pink. There is a deliciously nutty scent to it and though it is strong, it doesn't linger.
Just like what Elite Models promised, this lipstick does go on as smoothly as a lip balm. In fact, it feels like a lip balm, but with fabulous pigmentation. It keeps my lips feeling moisturized and healthy during the duration that I have it on and doesn't, at any time, gather in my lip lines. And even though it doesn't sit like a feather, it isn't as heavy as other lipsticks, making it a comfortable wear. The shade is also really lovely; it's feminine and perfect for everyday.
The only fault that I find with this lipstick is that the formula's a tad soft for our climate, so it ends up a little gooey and the slightest touch will create a dent. I pop this into the fridge as much as I can, to harden it a little.
