GOODIES: From Japalang!

Happy Sunday, Muffins! (:

On Friday, when I came home, I was greeted by this cute little cake box! *points above* My siblings and I were wondering who would send us a cake out of the blue! Hehe. XD

It turned out that the cake box contained goodies instead! It was sent by Sharon, the very sweet lady who hired me for the roadshows back in June/ July (Where I promoted the K-Palette's eyeliner and Cure Natural Aqua Gel.)! Thank you, Sharon! (:

K-Palette's 24H Real Lasting Eyeliner is going to be available in deep brown soon! (: When I was working at Sephora and at the roadshows, I met customers who prefer brown to black, for a look that's less 'intense'. So this is going to be a fab piece of news for them! (:

I was really excited to find K-Palette's Teka Oil Control Mat Powder among the goodies! This absorbs excessive sebum, giving a matte complexion. YAY!!! It contains hyaluronic acid and collagen, which help keep the skin supple *bo-ing! bo-ing!*. A puff is included! This is so much handier than theBalm's Sexy Mama!

Shirokuma-kun's a godsend to those who aren't exactly looking forward to aging! Here's more information about it, provided by Sharon. (:

"Strips are made of Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) which emits far-infrared rays that stimulate blood circulation in the areas where the strips are applied.

Far-infrared rays is part of the spectrum of light emanating from the sun. It is not visible to the eye, but you feel it as heat penetrating into your skin.

Far-infrared is very helpful in healing the skin, blood circulation and skin cell revitalizing. Continuous use of the product can reduce the signs of wrinkles and age spots."

OH MY GOD's Perfect Gel is your entire skincare regime in a bottle! How cool is that! Haha. My night skincare routine usually takes about 20 minutes and Dad'll be in the background whining about how long I take to 'decorate' my face. Heh. :\ If this works, I bet Dad's gonna do some champagne-popping!

TOFU's Professional Makeup Sponges are the cutest sponges I have ever seen! Their arrival is dead timely because all this while, I have been applying my foundation (If I do bother with them.) with my fingers and yes, it gets streaky. :\ Again, here's some information from Sharon. (:

"Foundation has nothing to do with your makeup's finishing look. With TOFU, anyone can do makeup just like the top professionals, without any technique needed! It's not just about using the right foundation; it is also using the right tool."
-

Oh wow! I have been working on this entry since 3 plus in the afternoon (It's 8.11pm now. :\)! I was totally having a doddler's block. Haha. Now that this is done, I'm off for my jog.

Tomorrow's the start of school and it's also the day, I become a full-fledged adult! haha. I hope the age 21 brings me many more smiles and of course, maturity! XD

OUTING: Summer's Girl-iest Day

Afternoon Muffins! (:

Summer is ending already and that means (dreadful) school's beckoning! :\ But oh well... All good things must come to an end. The only thing that we can do is to make sure that the good stuff ends with a blast! And what better way to do that than to have a girly day out with awesome girlfriends?!?

Plans for this outing were kick-start into motion when I realized, during a MSN conversation, that dear Samantha had never done a manicure before! So Dorcas and I wanted to girl-ify her before the would-be lawyer headed back to the UK to complete her (very stressful) last year of law studies.

After the Luxasia Sale, Dorcas and I headed down to Shaw Towers to meet Samantha at Hairloom & Caramel.

We arrived around 1pm. The place isn't that big. I think there are about 7 tables. But oh gosh! The decor was crazy nice!!! The first thing that the 3 of us did was to whip out our cameras and start snapping away! Haha. It was really quite a funny scene!

Dorcas ordered the 'Baked penne Japanese style, with unagi and seaweed', Samantha had the 'Spaghetti with salmon in house special pink sauce' and as for me, boring ol' 'Baked penne with ham & cheese in cream sauce' (I wanted the 'Black pepper smoked duck sandwish with Dijon mustard' but woe to me! They didn't have duck yesterday! ): ) Samantha's dish was the most scrumptious one! See the yellow bits? Those are lemon peel bits!

(You know how some creamy dishes can be so overly creamy that you feel so tired of it after a few mouthfuls? Mine was just creamy enough! YAY!)

The place sells some stuff with a really old-school feel to them. Yes, they are expensive but very, very cute (There is a chocolate calculator which you can bend! Haha! Imagine bringing it to the examination hall!).

After our meal, Sam brought us to Tom's Palette for some ice-cream (YAY!). They have some really cool flavours like Rosemary & Apple, Salty Yuzu and Chocolate Sorbet, amongst many others. One thing that I really like about the place is the service. As some of you may know, being an ex-Starbucks barista, service is very important to me. The lad who served us kept asking us to try the flavours first. No dirty looks were thrown into our directions at all! *10 thumbs up*

There are 3 cup sizes and for each size, you can have a choice of 2 flavours!!! How cool is that?!? Perfect for fickle me!!! (:

I had the Rosemary + Apple and Lychee + Rose ice-creams. The former was incredibly delicious! It was a tad too sweet though. Samantha said that Tom's Palette is definitely better than U.d.d.e.r.s Ice Cream (I do love their Earl Grey Tea flavour tons!)!

Thereafter, Dorcas and I brought Samantha for her first manicure! We wanted to snap a picture of her getting her nails done but we only remembered it at the end and well, all our hands were tied up! Anyway, I got mine painted in 'What's with the Cattitude?' and 'Who the Shrek are You?' from the OPI Shrek Forever After series. (I scratched like 2 nails already. BUMMER!)

Dorcas and I gave Samantha her first nail kit!!! Haha! Designs are drawn by yours truly and I'm so immensely happy with them. Whenever I do 'art and craft', I will always do a draft first (Do measurements, sketch the designs, play with colours...). For this 'project', I did 3 drafts and all the designs turned out really crummy. By Wednesday evening, I was 'panicking' slightly so I decided to just do it directly on the purple paper. My first attempt failed because the black from my colour pencil barely came out! I 'passed' on my 2nd try! YAY!

(The front's inspired by Topshop Make up!)

Alrighty! I hope your summer's gonna end with a blast too!

Hello Fall!!! (:

HAUL: The Great Beauty Bazaar

Hey Muffins! (:

Headed down to Tai Seng today with Dorcas and Charlene La Lapine (Who has gorgeously dyed hair! I was a tad lost for words initially because I saw her not too long ago and she had dark hair! She was really, really very pretty! (: ) to attend the Luxasia Sale! This is my first time (Dorcas too!) attending a makeup/ beauty sale so I was really excited! But oh boy! Even though we arrived at around 11.10am (Doors opened at 11am.), the place was crowded already!

There were more perfumes than makeup. Makeup included Stila (When you enter the place, turn to your left and head straight to the corner.), Guerlain, YSL and RMK. Bags from Paris Hilton were also there (Along with some others.). There were also shirts (Guy Laroche, I think. Not too sure.).

The first thing Charlene La Lapine did was to head to the Guerlain counter! Haha. But, because I'm a student on a budget, I don't know much about high-end brands (Which probably means that I should have checked it out. -_-||| ) so I headed off with Dorcas to check out the perfumes. We made one round and Charlene La Lapine was still at the Guerlain counter! I'm not sure what she bought though because we had to leave to meet another friend for lunch (Sorry that I couldn't stay long, Charlene! ): ).

Anyway, here's my stash!

The Stila eyeshadows are in Espresso, Cloud, Starlight and Seafoam (Oh! Seafoam was 4 bucks!). I bought the eyshadows without getting the casing to hold them. Silly me!!! :\

The gold shimmer is for my sister, who's a lot darker than me. And the pink one... Heh. Heh. Heh. It's for ME (Completely guilt-ridden, since I have Benefit's High Beam. :X)!!!

And here's a very happy me after a super long day! In front of an incredibly messy table (The mess will vanish tomorrow! Got to pack for school!).

OH! Thank you Kimberley for blogging about this sale, otherwise I wouldn't have known about it! (:

P.S.: The sale's on till Saturday, though I do believe that many items have been snapped up already. :\

REVIEW: CoverGirl’s Lash Blast Mascara

During the National Day week, Mascara.page was having a sale for CoverGirl’s Lash Blast in Black Brown. They were going for 2 at the price of either $18.90 or $19.90. Oh gosh! I’m really bad with prices (I tend to look at the price tag, check if my purse has got enough money, purchase it and forget the price. HAHA. Okay, bad Charlene. XO). Anyway, one is going to set you back $15.90 right now at Mascara.page.

Frankly, I do not know much about CoverGirl’s cosmetics, save for the famous elephantine brush and Joyce’s Mum’s CoverGirl Dinosaur! Haha! (Oh! They have lipstains too!!!) When I saw the awesome deal, my mind swung like a pendulum ball; ‘Should I get it?’, ‘TOTALLY!!!’, ‘But I have so many mascaras already…’, 'But it's a good deal!', ‘Okay, don’t think. Just get it!’, 'But people mentioned that the wand will poke me in the eye...'... Heh.

When it came, I was amused/ surprised to find the brush not drowning in the mascara. It’s probably to show the massive brush but wouldn’t the packing of it be rather unhygienic? Then again, I don’t work in CoverGirl’s factories and I reckon they take all sorts of measures to ensure that their products are very safe…. Which makes this paragraph completely useless and I just wasted your time... Heh. *sheepish laughter*

To make up for it, let's have an immediate verdict.

Do I love the mascara?!? YES, I DO!!! (cue: Wedding bells start ringing.)

The mascara wand is indeed ginormous. It is a challenge to get those really small lashes and the bottom lashes (Using the tip to coat the lashes doesn’t work out because the tip’s flat. There is just too much product on it, even if you were to ‘wipe’ it back into the container a few times.).

(See those freckles? I have several on my left cheek but only ONE on my right! Cheeks imbalance. ): ) However, the mascara gives very long, clump-free luscious lashes! (: The above was achieved with just one coat! And volume-wise, it’s good enough for me. The best thing about this is that it doesn’t smudge at all! I wore it the entire day, hit the gym, came back and my lashes were still looking as pretty as ever! (: YAY! (I think this may replace my Bourjois one, which I love so insanely much! :\)

Oh! Do note that too many coats, and clumping will occur. But you really don't need so many coats! (:

As for the colour, though it says ‘Black Brown’ (I'm not sure if you can see the brown in the picture above...) and the wand’s covered with black brown mascara, it appears black on my lashes! I’m not one who goes for black brown/ brown black or brown mascara (I mean, lashes, to me, should all be the blackest that they can be!) so I’m really wondering how black their ‘Very Black’ is!!!

The mascara washes off easily with water but it leaves your eye area a little dark. You will still need a makeup remover to make sure that every bit of it is cleaned off.

Alrighty. Thanks for reading, Muffins! (:

HAUL: Skin Inc’s Okinawa Deepsea Hydra Mask

Hey Muffins! *big grin*

I’m all smiles today because I got myself Skin Inc’s Okinawa Deepsea Hydra Mask ($188) and the $45 Oxy Miracle Infusion Facial (I will be doing the facial will be done at a later date. It’s valid for a year. (: ). Okay, well, Mum paid first. I’ll pay her back when school comes round and I shop less (HOPEFULLY!!!).

The Okinawa Deepsea Hydra Mask is a gel mask. Its key ingredients are the Okinawa deep sea water (Nutrient-rich.), soya bean (Brightens and balances the skin.) and hyaluronic acid (For pampering, nourishing and hydrating the skin.).

It is to be used in the evening, after your entire skincare routine. Spread a thin layer of the mask with the spatula given. You can either leave it on for 30 minutes or overnight (Definitely leaving it on overnight.). Wash off with water in the morning. (:

For the mask, I got the 100ml instead of the 30ml. Thus, I was also given the Pure Revival Peel. (: The key ingredient for this is AC-11, arbutin and fullerenes. Okay, I don't speak Chemistry but the first one is apparently good for DNA-repair and anti-ageing, the second for brightening and the third for strengthening collagen, elastin and repairs UV damage.

Right now, Citibank card members get 20% off for all products and UOB, 15%. However, this does not include any promotional items (i.e. Since I chose to get the free Pure Revival Peel, I couldn’t get any discount. If you choose the discount, you can’t get the Pure Revival Peel.).

This is my MOST expensive skincare product. I’m crossing all my fingers and toes and hoping so badly that it’s gonna be a miracle in a tub!

HAUL: Benefits of the Net

I think the above is self-explanatory? Hehe. (:

This is for my sister (Her birthday's tomorrow!). She has been wanting this for a long time now but didn't want to part with her money (*in dramatic tones* So the jie jie has to make the sacrifice... Sighhh. Haha! XD) I ordered this from Nail Vibe. It cost me $21.94 and their service was good; Fast response and the set was wrapped up nicely. (:

Alright now. Time to hit the gym!

Later, Muffins!

UPDATES: Skin Inc (SKINC) and more books!!!

Hey Muffins! I’m on a blog roll today. Haha. Okay, 2 entries do not make a roll. Okay, ignore me. Heh.

I made a trip down to Skin Inc (SKINC), ION Orchard yesterday to collect my sample of SKINC’s serum; Collagen, Hyaluronic Acid or Coenzyme Q10 serums. This was given to me because I filled up some Cozycot survey. (:

When I was working at Sephora, I got to know this girl called Mel. We talked about makeup and then, moved on to skincare. She told me about SKINC and was raving about the mask. Though it was hellishly expensive, she remarked that it was extremely expensive. She said that each time she scooped the mask from the tub, she would be like “$10. $20…”. Haha!

I’m not one who goes for high-end products because well… I’m a student on a budget. Heh. But after yesterday’s small skin analysis and chit chat session with Wendy, the BA, and another Cozycotter, I’m wondering if I should make an ‘investment’…

SKINC’s from Japan. All their products have no scent and paraben. Hence, the shelf-life is pretty short (About 6 months.). Save for the serums, most of their products have only ONE type (Like just ONE cleanser, ONE mask etc.). While this makes the brand seem less gimmicky, I do believe that different skin types need different types of skincare products (Like oily skin needs a cleanser for oily skin etc.).

The quick skin analysis, which consisted of answering some questions, showed that the Hyaluronic serum was most suitable for me. However, as I have sensitive skin, Wendy gave me the Ceramide one instead. (: Their serums contain seaweed capsules and it is in those capsules that the active ingredients reside. This keeps the ingredients pure and fresh. Once applied on the skin, the capsules ‘break’ and absorb easily into the skin. There is no sticky residue whatsoever. (: It is to be followed with a moisturizer (The serum doesn’t replace the moisturizer.).

SKINC also provides facials, which last for an hour. I can’t really remember the entire procedure but there is no extraction involved as they do not believe in it. Wendy told me that extraction is harsh and results in enlarged pores. I’m no skin expert. I’m always doing DIY extraction but okay, I’m so going to STOP (Due to severe lack of sleep, my skin’s becoming really bad. :\).

For the month of August, their facials are going at $45 instead of… Some exorbitant figure. Haha. I can’t remember the exact price but it’s definitely a 100 bucks plus.

So yep, that’s what I wanted to share with you! I wasn’t asked to do an advert or anything like that but I thought it was too good a deal to be missed! (:

I did some shopping today for school supplies. I got myself 30 blank jotter books and 3 books! The Starbucks one was a MUST because yours truly is an ex-Starbucks barista! (: (: (:

SPOTTED: Rimmel London's 1-2-3 Looks Mascara

Look at what I found in Watsons!!! *dances* On Rimmel London's website, it says there are 2 shades; Black and black brown. However, we only have the black one, in non-waterproof and waterproof. It is retailing at $20.90, which I thought is perfectly reasonable! Until...

I saw the size! It looks so cruelly small!!! I was like -_-.

BUT as we all know 'Looks lie!'. It is 9.5ml (0.32 fl oz.) whereas Rimmel London's Sexy Curves Mascara ($17.90) is 8ml (0.27 fl oz)! Yay, Rimmel London! You rock!!! Okay, I know this sounds strange but I feel really thrilled after finding this out! Haha.

I didn't get it though... Because I'm going to be insanely broke this week (There's the Luxasia sale, lunch appointments, dinners with friends, my sister's birthday... *cries*)! But but but... Once school starts and I have no time to go shopping, the money starts accumulating... This will be mine!!! (cue: maniac laughter) Hahaha!

Oh! I saw these a really long time ago but I couldn't really find much information about them. The back of the packaging's full of Japanese words, which makes me wonder if these were exclusive to Japan only?!?

REVIEW: Cure Natural Aqua Gel

Just like the K-Palatte’s 24H Real Lasting Eyeliner, I promoted this at Northpoint. Please note that this review is my idea and that I am no longer affiliated with the company that I was working for.

I got my bottle (Click to see my yellow wall! It's gonna be gone soon! Haha!) from a Livejournal seller for $27. (:

What is Cure?
Cure is a facial scrub sans the microbeads, making it very gentle!

What is Cure made of?
Cure is made of 90% activated hydrogen water and 10% moisturizing ingredients. The moisturizing ingredients are ones that are used in most moisturizers in the market. There are no preservatives, fragrances or colourings. (:

How is Cure more superior to the other facial scrubs? I mean, there are a gazillion scrubs in the market!
Most of the gazillion scrubs in the market have microbeads. When using microbeads on your skin, there’s abrasion. Too much of that and it’s going to be really bad for your skin. Cure doesn’t have any microbeads at all! (:

If Cure doesn’t have any microbeads, how does it get rid of my dead skin?
Though it doesn’t have any microbeads, Cure reacts with the skin upon contact. As you gently rub it, the dead skin comes out in the form of white particles!

What does Cure smell like?
No fragrances are added! (:

But it HAS to smell of something?!?
Umm… Well, I can’t describe the scent, but it’s a pleasant one alright. (:

So do I still need a facial cleanser after this?
Cure isn’t a facial cleanser. It’s a scrub and its job is to get rid of dead skin. Use a facial cleanser first. Pat your face dry and then, use Cure. (:

Do I need to wash it off with my cleanser after using Cure?
Nope, you don’t need to. Just rinse off with water!

Umm… Nothing is coming out?!? Where are the white particles?
Are you using it on wet skin? It has to be on dry skin in order for it to be effective. If you’re using it on dry skin, it could be that your skin’s already very moisturized. Yay! (:

Umm… Cure made my skin go red!!!
You might have rubbed too vigorously is. Be gentle! (: (I know because I was too zealous in getting rid of my dead skin initially! Heh. The redness went away after a while. (: )

Ehhh… Maybe the white particles are from Cure itself? Are you trying to cheat me?!?
Haha. No no. A friend tried it on the table’s surface, using the base of the bottle to rub it (Any contact with skin and you’re going to get the white particles!) and none of the white particles appeared!

Isn't it kind of like Ginvera's Marvel Gel?
Haha. Yes, it is. And yes, I have tried the (old) Marvel Gel... Back when I was 14? Haha. I can't say how the two compare with each other since I haven't touched Marvel Gel for aeons! I think Marvel Gel's main function is to get rid of blackheads and well, I remembered that it didn't (Hence, I stopped using it.). Sorry that I'm not of much help in this area but here's a review of the Marvel Gel. (:
I guess the the important thing to note is that Cure is made of 90% activated hydrogen water and 10% moisturizing ingredients. No preservatives, fragances and colourings are added to it. (:

So after using Cure, could I continue with my skincare regime?
Absolutely!!! (: Toner, moisturizer…

Do I use Cure every day?
Nope, you don’t. Use it just twice a week. Your skin takes about 28 days to renew itself. (:

I have sensitive skin. ): Could I still use it?
I have sensitive skin too! So the answer is yes!!! (: Just make sure that you rub it GENTLY.

I have eczema. Could I still use it?
For medical problems and allergies, I will advise you to seek a doctor’s opinion. (:

Is Cure the cure (Haha. I just had to say that!) to my acne, blackheads etc.?!?
Cure isn't a medicated product. It isn't meant to treat acne, blackheads etc.. However, it does get rid of dead skin. Accumulation of dead skin clogs up pores and this is one of the reason why you get zits. In the long run, Cure's going to help but it is NOT a treatment for acne, blackheads etc..

So Cure’s just basically for my face?
Oh no! It can be used on every part of your body. Except the eye areas, of course! Try it on your elbows and heels! There were several customers who told me they use Cure more for their elbows and heels than their faces!

How much does a bottle of Cure cost?
$42.

Hmm… Cure used to cost only $38 right?
Haha. Yes, it did but that was the introductory price when it was first brought into Singapore. The Japanese Company that produces Cure doesn’t believe in advertising or price reductions. Everything’s by word-of-mouth. (:

Last question… I’m a guy so…
I had male customers buying 2 bottles of Cure at one shot. (:

Hold on a minute! Where can I get this?
Oh oops! I nearly forgot! Watsons or Nishino Pharmacy (Isetan Scotts, basement).

But $42 is really, really, really a lot… And I’m not sure if Cure is all that good *skeptical look*…
Haha. Get a sample of Cure! (: Watsons and Nishino Pharmacy do give out samples of Cure! Or you can get it from Beauty Carousel. (:

Okay. Last, last question. How long does Cure last?
One year after opening. (:

I tried to make this review as comprehensive as I could by including most of the questions which customers posed to me. I hope it helps you. (:

Thanks for reading, Muffins! (:

COMPARISONS: Lip/ Cheek Stains

Besides being a mascara junkie, a blusher junkie, a lipbalm junkie, I am also a lip/ cheek stain stain junkie (Okay, I have only 4. Haha.)! Haha.

On this lazy Thursday afternoon, I decided to whip out the lip/ cheek stains that I own currently and compare them. (: (And the smiley face turns into one of gloom… Sigh. Carry on reading… ): )

Benefit’s Benetint
The Body Shop’s Lip & Cheek Stain
Stila’s Convertible Color (Orchid)
M.A.C’s Just a Pinch Gel Blush

Benefit’s Benetint, The Body Shop’s Lip & Cheek Stain, Stila’s Convertible Color (Orchid), M.A.C’s Just a Pinch Gel Blush

Most of the time, I use these stains on my cheeks rather than lips. They can be very drying on lips and I don’t like the sight of dry lips (You can almost always find a lipbalm in my left pocket. I say ‘almost’ because I have a goldfish’s memory. :\ )

(I used to have the Etude House's one and that was the most moisturizing lip stain ever. But the colour was way too bright and so I sold it.)

I love Stila’s Convertible Color (Orchid) the best. It’s the easiest to blend and its lasting power is amazing! The one that I reach out the least for is Benefit’s Benetint. The first couple of times I had Benetint on, it made my cheeks itch like mad. But it’s also the nicest smelling out of the lot. It smells exactly like rose syrup and I LOVE rose syrup!

As for the shades, there isn’t any one that I like more than the others. I welcome all reds! (:

And now for a moment of silence…

Look at what happened to my Benetint!

I broke the cover after making a swatch of it. ): ): ): Sigh. I’m all kinds of sad now. *goes back to mourning*

(The catch of my Urban Decay’s De-Slick Mattifying Powder broke too, when my sister dropped my bag. ): ): ): )

P.S.: I have done reviews for Stila's Convertible Color (Orchid) and M.A.C's Just a Pinch Gel Blush. (:

SWATCHES: NYX’s The Runway Collection (03 Champagne & Caviar)

Afternoon Muffins! (:

Yesterday, I received my mini NYX purchase from Smoochiezz!

I ordered the

NYX's Tinted Lip Spa (09 Sake)
NYX’s The Runway Collection (03 Champagne & Caviar)
NYX’s Rouge Cream Blush (01 Rose Petal).

Only the NYX’s Tinted Lip Spa is mine. Unfortunately, it came with a huge scratch!!! ): Hazel, who’s the owner of Smoochiezz, offered to do an exchange for me but I made a swatch of it way before noticing the laceration. ): ): ): She assured me that all her products are new though. The Tinted Lip Spa is very soft and any light touch’s going to make an obvious dent in it. (Still, I don’t know how such a deep scratch could have been made when I have such short nails and was really careful in opening it...) I have put mine in the fridge to harden it a little.

(I’ll do a review on this after I have played more with it. (: )

Dorcas’ the one who got The Runway Collection. Possibly the sweetest girl on earth told me I could make swatches of it for my blog. (: Thanks Dor!!! (:

It comes with a mirror and an applicator. Handy dandy! (:

Matte shades: 5
Shimmery shades: 5

The shades are generally pigmented. Exceptions would be the first row, 2nd and 3rd shades; I had to build them up more than the others in order for them to show up on my skin. Top row, 1st and 4th shades are very similar on my skin (Not so in the picture above. :\). The shimmery shades, save for the pink one (Bottom row, 4th shade), have gold flecks in them.

The eyeshadows feel smooth and soft to the touch and they blend very easily. As the palette’s not mine, I can’t say much about how they end up at the end of the day. But this palette is definitely good for those who are just starting out or just want a simple palette of neutrals! (:

(I'm thinking the pink shade all over the lid, the dark brown in the crease and the top row, 1st or 4th shade as highlight! (:)

(The Rouge Cream's a gift!)

FOOD: Men's Pocky Chocolate?!?

My family's made up of Pocky junkies. When I went to China last year, I came back with 30+ boxes of pocky. There were green tea (My favourite!!!), mango mousse, strawberry mousse... Tons of flavours! Just like a gazillion makeup brands, why aren't they available in Singapore? *GLOOM*

BUT... Though we haven't got said flavours, we do get some 'special' ones (Those that aren't chocolate, strawberry or milk flavoured.).

Look at what Mum got this time round!

MEN's Pocky Chocolate?!?

MEN'S?!?

Well, I'm still gonna eat it anyway. *sticks tongue out*

REVIEW: St. Ives' Apricot Scrub Blemish & Blackhead Control

(Sorry about the price! As soon as I find out what it is, I'll let you know!)

So... How's the scrub?
The scrub's very moisturizing and gentle. This is rather surprising because it contains 2% salicylic acid, which can actually be very drying. I used it almost everyday and my face did not dry up at all!

Did it clear your blemishes?
I got this when I was doing my first summer job. That job required a full-face makeup, was hectic and coupled with the fact that I refused to turn in early (Just because it's vacation!), my skin suffered quite a bit. I had some zits on my forehead. Yes, 'had'. They pretty much cleared up with this (Do note that the whole time, I did apply Eucerin's Dermo Purifyer Creme-Gel as part of my nightly skincare routine.).

And the blackheads?
My blackheads are still very much present. ): But oh well, blackheads will always be present. Even when you do manage to get rid of them, they're gonna come back at the end of the day.

May I see the back of the tube?

Lastly, how does the scrub look like?

Alrighty. Thanks for reading! (:

NAILS: Mich's hands and mine!

Hey Muffins (:

Today's gonna be a day of nails porn. *guffaws* Haha. I find the term really funny... I have seen terms like 'food porn', 'neck porn' etc. and they really tickle me silly. :\

I'm absolutely horrid at painting my nails. On a good day, only my left hand will be painted (I won't bother with my right at all. To touch it will be messing with the nails god.). But even then, within an hour or so, my nails will be scrated at all sorts of corners.

Anyway, here are Michelle's nails!

And here are mine! Scratches, bubbles... In all of their glory!

Riverdale's colours! Haha. If anyone reads Archie comics! (:
